The Countdown has begun to the first ever Britpop Academy in Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.
On the 25th November, Britpop Academy will be holding a try-out session from 6pm – 7pm at the weatherly Centre in Biggleswade.
Our Try-out sessions are an informal audition process where both students, parents and the Academy can assess the suitability of the students and the Academy.
In this fun evening, students will take part in an hour-long session involving both singing and dancing. The Singing part of the session will involve a technical warm-up and coaching. The students will also learn a song in the session, be required to sing solo and learn some simple harmonies, but don’t worry they will not be asked to do anything they do not wish to do.
In the dance section students will take part in a simple warm up and learn choreography to an up-tempo piece of music. In the last part of the session students and parents will have the opportunity to see a small performance from some of our staff and ask any questions they may have.
At the end of the evening parents will be able to enrol their children into the Academy if they have had a successful try-out.
(If students would like to show us solo/duo or group dance or singing pieces this can be done at the end of the session. (Please let us know if you wish to perform a solo or duo)
